Zuzana has provided physiotherapy services for athletes and people of all ages and abilities since 2002.  She has worked with a number of professional sports teams including the North Melbourne AFL football club and the Australian Paralympic Ski team.

Zuzana has over 20 years experience working as a sports physiotherapist with people of all ages and levels.

​

Zuzana has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (University of South Australia 2002), a Masters degree in Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (University of South Australia 2006) and a PhD investigating hip and groin pain in athletes (La Trobe University, 2024).

 

Zuzana is also a university researcher with a PhD in hip and groin pain in athletes and 40 peer reviewed journal publications on groin pain, orthopaedic surgery and exercise, with over 1200 citations. Zuzana has co-authored textbooks that are widely used by sports doctors and physiotherapists including Brukner and Khan's Clinical Sports Medicine. Zuzana has been awarded competitive funding for her research from Sports Medicine Australia and the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Zuzana is also a university educator within Monash University Physiotherapy with previous roles at the University of South Australia and La Trobe University. Zuzana provides clinical education to other physiotherapists through the G:LAD (Good Living with Arthritis Denmark) Australia program.

Zuzana's sporting interests are water sports, tennis, alpine skiing, tennis, triathlon and trail running.
